My mentor (unbeknownst to him), John Skipp has given us another thought provoking essay, this time on the state of the horror genre. But from my perspective, it's likely true for nearly all genres and pursuits of the arts today.

We need to make our work relevant for the genre to thrive, perhaps even to survive!
